Chocolate
Produces small to medium sized oblong fruit with bright red skin & sweet, spicy, firm brown flesh. Its superb flavor is the choice of connoisseurs. Best with ‘Coffeecake’ for pollination. Ripens in October & reaches roughly 12’-15’ tall.
Coffeecake
Has a unique spicy-sweet flavor that instantly evokes images of cinnamon pastry, hot coffee and morning sunshine. Ripens about the same time as ‘Chocolate’ & about three weeks to one month earlier than ‘Fuyu’. A non-astringent variety that can be eaten while still firm. Hardy, attractive tree, practically free of pests and disease. Best with ‘Chocolate’ for pollination. Ripens in October & reaches roughly 12’-15’ tall.
Fuyu-Jiro
An Asian variety with yellow-orange coloring that possess layers of flavor, reminiscent of pear, dates and brown sugar with nuances of cinnamon. A great quality fruit with texture that varies with maturity. Ripens late season, reaches roughly 12’-15’ tall & is self-fertile.
Hachiya
An Asian variety that is deep orange in coloring and slightly elongated and rounded in shape. The flavor is candy sweet and possesses nuances of baking spices, raisins and brown sugar. A great quality fruit that ripens late season, reaches roughly 12’-15’ tall & is self-fertile.
