The Seattle Rose Society presents our 110th Annual Rose Show: Afternoon Tea & Roses. Members of the public are welcome to view the rose displays on June 17th and 18th 2023 from 11am to 4pm. The event is completely free!
New to rose shows? Check out this page for a guide for first time exhibitors. We highly encourage everyone to give exhibiting a try! There are classes just for novices to enter that have relaxed judging rules.
Exhibitor drop-off is in the morning on Saturday June 17th, from 6:30am until 9:45am. Judging occurs between 10am and noon, and the awards will be given out after judging. There is no registration in advance, just bring your blooms and arrangements during the entry time window.
During the months of May and June one of the all-time favorite plants of local gardeners, the peony, is bursting into bloom. There are many excellent peonies available to utilize in our landscapes; including herbaceous cottage types in all sorts of colors (and varying fragrances) and larger growing tree peonies too. I would never scold anyone for growing either of these types (since I do as well), but I want to bring attention to another fabulous peony option… what is known as the intersectional or Itoh Peony.
