Japanese
A Stewartia pseudocamellia variety. THE tree for all seasons! Camellia-like white flowers up to 21 ⁄2" in diameter appear on this medium sized tree in mid summer. Kaleidoscopic fall color includes red, orange & purple tones. Beautiful cream & tan patches are revealed as its trunk exfoliates with age. An excellent specimen that reaches roughly 35 feet tall by 25 feet wide in size.
Korean
A Stewartia koreana variety. This extraordinary variety displays renowned beauty & ornamental features. Produces beautiful, delicate-looking white flowers in mid summer. Its vigorous habit, glossy green leaves, exfoliating silvery bark & brilliant red autumn color work to produce exquisite four-season interest. Grow in full sun to partial shade. A great specimen, ideal for smaller yards & reaches roughly 20 feet tall by 20 feet wide in size.
Tall
A Stewartia monadelpha variety. Commonly grown for its stunning reddish-brown bark & offers exceptional features throughout the year. White camellia-like flowers bloom mid summer, followed by interesting brown seed pods & rich russet fall color. Best grown in partial shade but can handle full sun in the Pacific Northwest. It makes an excellent specimen tree for the home landscape & is insect/disease resistant. Reaches roughly 30 feet tall by 15 feet wide.
