Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Amber Glow'

Has bright, golden foliage that emerges in the spring and becomes tinged with orange as the season progresses. The foliage doesn’t burn in full sun. It has a dense, pyramidal habit and looks good at all stages. Has an upright, broad growth habit & reaches roughly 30’ to 35’ in size after about 25 years.

Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Hamlet's Broom'

A compact form of Dawn Redwood with creamy white variegated foliage in spring, changing to bright green in summer & becoming golden yellow to deep russet in fall before needle drop as winter approaches. Characteristic shaggy orange bark can be admired on this tree that has a size and growth rate amenable to today’s urban landscapes. Thrives in moist soil. Has a globe-shaped growth habit & reaches roughly 8’ tall by 6’ wide in size, growing 3” to 6” a year.

Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Miss Grace'

The first Metasequoia cultivar with strongly weeping branches. This gorgeous plant makes a superb living sculpture when it is staked up so the branches drape freely. When the deciduous conifer drops its foliage, the peeling bark & swooping framework supply winter interest. Has a narrow upright growth habit & reaches varying sizes depending on culture, growing 6” to 8” a year.
